The BMW D7 is a single-cylinder, four-stroke, direct-injection diesel engine. The engine is equipped with a raw-water cooling system, fed by an impeller type pump driven by the crankshaft. Electrical starting and charging systems are standard as is an automatic air bleeder device in the fuel system.

No room for compromise. s Standard equipment o Optional equipment o Exterior mirror package: the mirrors can be folded in automatically using the integrated electric fold-in function (e.g. in a car wash), and can then be folded back into position at the touch of a button. s Ornamental front grille with chrome surround and black kidney slats (in the Z4 3.0si1 the kidney slats come in silk matt graphite as shown.) o Foglights integrated into the front air dam.
The foglamps provide extra safety in bad weather conditions (including heated exterior mirrors and front screenwasher nozzles). (Standard on Z4 2.5i, Z4 2.5si and Z4 3.0si1). o Xenon headlights for low and high beam, incl. light rings, with automatic range control and headlight washing system. For much better illumination of the road ahead in bad weather or poor visibility. s Side indicator in front side panel; integrated into the BMW emblem. s Brake-Force Display helps following drivers to judge your braking situation.
